As we approach the end of 2018, we take the time to look back at a fantastic year for gaming. One that has seen highs and lows, long-awaited sequels and fresh and exciting new tiles.
We roamed snowy peaks, alligator-infested swampland and wide-open prairies as Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2. We brought the pain to Norse gods and mythical beasts as Kratos in God of War. We hacked at Spartans and back-stabbed Athenians as Alexios and Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Marvel’s Spiderman let us swing from the rooftops of New York City, thwarting our foes with fists and web. Sea of Thieves gave us three things to do over and over again, but let us sail as pirates across simply breathtaking seas. Far Cry 5 saw us ride, fly and drive through the wilds of Hope County, USA, shooting crazed Peggies and hunting wildlife as the charismatic, but mad preacher Joseph Seed watched our every move from afar.
2018 has been one of the best years to be a gamer, and next year is shaping up to be just as exciting. We can’t wait for Anthem, Days Gone, Metro: Exodus, Skull & Bones, Resident Evil 2, Kingdom Hearts 3, Gears 5, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Rage 2, Jedi: Fallen Order, Doom Eternal, Biomutant…. hell, we could list games all day.
So, let’s wrap up 2018 and crown Agony Inc’s Game of The Year 2018.
